Select the option labeled Add or Change Home Page and select Use this webpage as your home page. If you are using Firefox, navigate to the page you want as your home page. Then click on the icon to the left of the web address and drag it to the Home toolbar button right next to it. And then click Yes to confirm.

Clear the cache. The cache stores details of your browsing history as well as images, video, audio files and cookies. Remove all these and clear the cache to make browsing faster. To clear cache in Internet Explorer 8, click the Tools button on the Internet Explorer toolbar and select Internet Options. Click Delete under Browsing History. Next, click Delete one more time. By Disabling Add-Ons, you can experience faster browsing. In many cases it is seen that the user install add-ons such as extra toolbars, animated mouse pointers without knowing it. This may also include stock tickers or pop-up ad blockers, etc. all these add-ons are designed to make your online experience better but sometimes, they interfere or conflict with other software resulting slow internet performance. To resolve the issues, you can try starting Internet Explorer without add-ons. Click the Start button, then click All Programs, click Accessories, click System Tools, and then click Internet Explorer (No Add-ons). This will resolve the issues.
